The Digital Fabrication Laboratory and the European Education & Learning Institute have agreed to cooperate under the framework of the 3D Jail Erasmus+ programme. 3D Jail aims to assist inmates in developing a core set of skills needed for 3D printing and to setup and use a 3D printer. The goal is to train detainees in cutting-edge technologies so that they can use this knowledge for employment, either inside or outside the prison.
The Lab will prepare and deliver a series of lectures, in the form of a 3D printing seminar, to the inmates of Chania Prison.
